About Me

- I just love middle schoolers!!! I've been working with middle schoolers for over 20 years, so you know I really do have a "thing" for teaching this age. I do admit, however, that constantly hanging around with kids in puberty has caused me irreversible brain damage! Some goals for this year: 1) To help everyone in my class become a confident, secure, and successful student. 2) To be able to remember things (I never get names right in class) and 3) To impart to my students the living God in such a way that they can experience a fuller, personal relationship with Him.
A Little More About Me
- Pets: a psychotic Chiahuahua, a used poodle, and a chi-weeni mutt. I have two cats barfing hairballs all over the house. Toby (my son) and I are into freshwater fish. We have several aquariums. I still love snakes and rodents, and I'm partial to big bugs, too.
- Favorite Saying: "Why get even when you can get odd?" or "Listen to what I mean, not what I say!"
- Theme Song: "If I Only Had a Brain"
- Favorite Genres: Science fiction and fantasy
- Some Confessions: I don't eat anything blue (it causes brain damage). I dye my hair (does that cause brain damage, too?) I always get lost; never ask me for directions! Besides animals and middle schoolers, I love Jamba Juice, See's Molasses Chips, milk chocolate, dark chocolate, chocolate ice cream, and sleeping in.
